About W&W

This blog will be home to all writerly and readerly things. Book reviews, writing 101 advice, poetry, and perhaps some random musings — I will be sharing it all!

Book Reviews

I read and review anything I can get my hands on! That being said, I have preferences for what I like to read. The following are my favorite:

  • Children’s Picture Books
  • Middle-grade fiction
  • Young Adult/new adult
  • Fantasy/dystopian/sci-fi
  • Romance
  • Historical Fiction

If you have a book you would like to send to me in exchange for an honest review, please use the contact form and include some information about the book (i.e. what genre it is, how many pages it is, and a brief synopsis of plot). If it does not fall under one of the above categories, I am not likely to respond. Depending on how busy I am (with real life and this blog) I may not be able to guarantee a speedy read and review.

I welcome both self-published and traditionally published authors, along with ARCs. I do not accept un-edited manuscripts.

Poetry

I am a huge lover of poetry in any form: spoken word, blackout poetry, mixed-media poetry. Anything that combines beautiful words and art is something that I’m interested in. I post a lot of my own original content under W&W Poetry (Write&Wilt Poetry) here in conjunction with my Instagram page.

If you would like to collaborate with me on some poetry projects, I would love to hear from you! If you would like to exchange thoughts and critiques, I am always a willing victim. I am actively seeking to be more immersed and as involved in the writing community as possible.

If you are a musician or an artist and would like to put some mixed-media pieces together using my poetry as inspiration, I am very open to creating new content!

Writing Advice

Having worked with both traditional and self-service publishers doing editing, marketing, publicity, and assisting agents, I have a great knowledge base of the ins-and-outs of the life-cycle of books. I have learned what publishers are looking for and what makes authors successful.

Have a specific topic you would like me to cover that I haven’t yet? Let me know! Want an evaluation of your writing? Need help crafting a query letter to agents? I can help!

Watercolor

Alas! I am not an artist. However, it does not stop me from dabbling with paints and mixed media. Watercolors are my personal favorite! If you have some art that you’d like me to showcase and review, please send me a message! I love promoting artists!

If you are a gifted artist and are inspired by my words, please feel free to create something that I can share with my viewers.
